Career Exploration Grants – Eligibility

You must have completed a minimum of 4 years as a professional dancer including at least 2 years with one or more of DCD’s Partner Companies.

These are:

  • Birmingham Royal Ballet
  • English National Ballet
  • Northern Ballet
  • Rambert Dance Company
  • Richard Alston Dance Company
  • Scottish Ballet
  • The Royal Ballet

If you have to retire early through injury or illness there may be the option to apply on medical grounds. You do not have to be currently performing with the company to apply, as long as you meet the eligibility criteria.

Please note that you cannot apply for a Career Exploration Grant after you have received a Retraining Grant.
