Dancers’ Career Development has been supporting dancers for almost 50 years. Our vision is to support every UK dancer to successfully transition.

Helping dancers through professional and personal change is the lifeblood of DCD, removing barriers to career progression, enabling career sustainability and creating life-long learning opportunities. We support all professional dance artists in the UK regardless of geographical location, age or genre.

DCD believes in the power and potential of individuals. We see and recognize dancers as unique human beings, with exceptional skills and qualities. We are a curious and agile charity, able to flex responsibly to best respond to the needs of those we serve. We aim to think differently and to foster a culture of commitment to self-development, learning and growth.

Chair of the Board of Trustees

The new Chair will succeed Zoe van Zwanenberg, who will stand down in December 2022.  Zoe has made an inestimable impact on DCD during her tenure and has brought structure, stability and vision to DCD.

We are a strong and vibrant charity embarking on a new chapter. 2023 marks DCD’s 50th anniversary, so this is an exciting opportunity to join us at a transformative time in our history.

We are looking for someone with a deep commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion who will support DCD to sustain and develop our partnerships and profile across the UK.

We want DCD to be a leader in building a fairer future for all dancers and are looking for a Chair who is ready and able to work with a committed team to make this happen.
